SISTAGIRL Community Ambassador: Tatum

Tatum is a Yawuru, Jaru, Yindjibarndi and a Nyikina woman, as well as having Japanese, Chinese, Pilipino and Irish heritage. Tatum was nominated by her older sister Candice:

“Tatum has been my number one Sistagirl from the day she was born. She makes me more and more proud every day and I am thankful for being blessed with a sister like her.”

“She has always excelled in every area of sport and her fitness. She has been selected for the State in Women’s Football, plays local softball, volleyball and gaelic football, as well as hitting the gym daily.”

“Since graduating from the Police Academy, she is now representing our people and wants to inspire other young Indigenous youth to achieve their dreams and careers in any area they put their mind to. Especially being a young Aboriginal woman in the police force, this empowers all our Sistagirls.”

“Like all us mob, her main love and focus in life is family. I can see she is making a huge difference in our community. She is such a positive role model for all our people.”
